Chonda Pierce: More Than Enough

In the mix of being busied with everything and overwhelmed with life, I neglected to coordinate an outing with the ladies at church to see, at the time, the only showing in theaters of Chonda Pierce: Enough on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 7:00PM.

If you don’t know who Chonda Pierce is, neither did I, until the ladies at my church had gotten together June 2016 to attend Chonda Pierce’s Happily Laughter After Tour, presented by The JOY FM, 93.3.  Us ladies had a fantastic time with fellowship, singing, and laughing.

Chonda Pierce is a Christian comedian and I am sure she can make you BOL (Burst Out Laughing) or LOL (Laugh Out Loud).  However, what sets her apart is her ability to laugh and make others laugh when it hurts the most.  Chonda is quite familiar with grief and loss which is apparent in the movie.  It’s not something that anyone wants to be closely acquainted with more than once, but in Chonda Pierce: Enough, Chonda uses her faith and her friendships along with her comedic style to tell the tragedy of her life and how God used it all for His Glory!

My take away from Chonda Pierce: Enough is that Christ is More Than Enough for all our trials, our burdens, our fears, our pain, our secrets, our losses, our grief, our depression, our death, even our sin!  I also learned that laughter is good for a grieving soul and that friends lighten the burden of a grieving heart.

If you haven’t seen the movie, there is an Encore Presentation showing in theaters on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00PM.  Gather your girlfriends and get there early as you are in for a few surprises.  If you end up going alone like me, then you are bound to meet up with some awesome ladies like I did.
